Walking Sticks and Walking Frames Outdoors: Getting the Right Aid and Using It Safely

About Course

A walking stick, walking frame or rollator can help you get out more, walk further and feel steadier. But the wrong aid, or one set at the wrong height, can make falls more likely. This course explains how to get assessed, where to get an aid, how to use a stick on kerbs and steps, and simple checks to keep you safe out and about.

This course gives general information. It is not medical advice. Follow the advice of your physiotherapist or other health professional about which aid to use and how to use it.
