Tutwoo – www.tutwoo.com
Last updated: 3 November 2026
This page explains, in plain English, how free trials, monthly payments, cancelling and refunds work on Tutwoo. It is part of our Terms and Conditions. If anything here is unclear, email [email protected].
The short version
- The first lesson of every course is free. No card needed.
- Tutwoo Plus starts with a 7-day free trial. You add a card, but nothing is taken during the trial.
- If you don’t cancel before the trial ends, your plan costs £9.99 a month and renews every month until you cancel.
- You can cancel online at any time in a few clicks. You keep access until the end of your trial or the month you have paid for.
- If you cancel within 14 days of your first payment, we refund the rest of that month, minus the days you have used. You don’t need to ask.
1. Free trials
- New Tutwoo Plus subscribers get a 7-day free trial, once per person.
- You need to add a payment card when you start the trial. Nothing is taken during the trial.
- At checkout we show the price and the date your trial ends before you confirm.
- If you cancel before the trial ends, you will never be charged.
- If you don’t cancel, your first payment of £9.99 is taken when the trial ends.
2. Monthly payments and renewals
- Plans are paid monthly in advance and renew automatically on the same date each month until you cancel.
- Payments are taken by card through our payment provider. We never see or store your full card details.
- If a payment fails, we will let you know and try again. Your paid access may be paused until the payment goes through.
- If we change the price of your plan, we will email you at least 30 days before the new price applies, so you can cancel first if you want to.
3. How to cancel
You can cancel at any time, online, without having to call or explain why:
- Log in and go to Billing → Subscriptions in your account.
- Choose Cancel Plan and confirm.
You can also cancel by emailing [email protected] (it helps if you write from the email address on your account). We will confirm every cancellation by email.
4. What happens when you cancel
- You keep full access until the end of your free trial or the month you have already paid for.
- You will not be charged again.
- Your free account stays open, with your progress and any certificates you have earned.
- You can subscribe again at any time. The free trial is only available once.
5. Refunds
Our 14-day refund. If you cancel within 14 days of your first payment, we will refund the rest of that month, minus the days you have used. You don’t need to ask: cancel online as normal and we will send the refund to the card you paid with within 14 days of you cancelling.
We work it out day by day. For example, if your first £9.99 payment covers a 30-day month and you cancel 5 days after it was taken, you have used 5 days, so we refund 25 days: £8.33.
- During a free trial you can cancel and pay nothing.
- Within 14 days of your first payment you get the refund above.
- After that, you can cancel at any time to stop future payments. You keep access until the end of the month you have paid for, and that month’s payment is not refunded.
At checkout we ask you to tick this box before you can subscribe:
“I agree to the Terms and Conditions. I want my plan to start straight away. I understand that if I cancel within 14 days of my first payment, I will get a refund for the rest of that period, minus the days I have used, and that I can cancel at any time to stop future payments.”
We confirm this in the email we send when your trial or subscription starts. UK law (the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013) gives you 14 days to change your mind when you buy online. Our 14-day refund gives you at least that protection.
Other refunds. We will also refund you if:
- you were charged by mistake, for example charged twice or charged after you cancelled;
- the service is not as described, not fit for purpose or not of satisfactory quality, and we cannot put it right (your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015); or
- we close your account for a reason that is not your fault, or we stop offering Tutwoo. In these cases we refund any amount you have paid for time you will not get.
Refunds go back to the card you paid with. Your bank may take a few more days to show it.
6. If something goes wrong
If a course, mock exam or feature isn’t working properly, please email [email protected] and tell us what happened. We will try to fix it quickly. If we can’t, we will offer a price reduction or refund, as the law requires. Nothing on this page affects your legal rights as a consumer.
7. Tutwoo Pro and live tutoring
Tutwoo Pro, which includes live one-to-one tutoring, is coming soon and cannot be bought yet. We will publish its cancellation and refund terms, including for booked sessions, before it goes on sale.
8. Changes to UK subscription law
New UK rules for subscriptions under the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 are expected to start in spring 2027. They include reminders before a trial ends or a plan renews, a new 14-day cooling-off period after a free trial turns into a paid plan, and easy online cancellation. We will update this page and our Terms before the new rules apply, and we will follow them from the day they start.
9. Questions and complaints
Email [email protected]. We aim to reply within 5 working days. Tutwoo UK Limited, 167–169 Great Portland Street, London, W1W 5PF.
