About Course

Public defibrillators are now on many village halls, shops, stations and phone boxes. When someone’s heart stops, calling 999, starting CPR and using a defibrillator quickly can save their life – and anyone can use one, with no training. This course explains, using current Resuscitation Council UK and British Heart Foundation guidance, how to recognise cardiac arrest, what the 999 call handler will do, and how to use a defibrillator step by step.

Tutwoo is an independent learning provider. This course gives general awareness information based on Resuscitation Council UK (2025) and British Heart Foundation guidance. It is not a substitute for a practical first aid course. In an emergency always call 999 and follow the call handler’s instructions.
