Cycle Lanes, Advanced Stop Lines and Cycle Tracks: A Refresher for Experienced Drivers

About Course

Many roads now have cycle lanes, coloured boxes at traffic lights and separate cycle tracks that did not exist when most of us learned to drive. This refresher explains what the markings mean, what the Highway Code says you must and should do, and simple habits – like checking your mirror before turning left and the “far-hand” door opening method – that keep everyone safe.

Tutwoo is an independent learning provider. This course is a general refresher based on the Highway Code as published on GOV.UK in November 2026. It does not replace professional driving tuition. Always follow road signs and markings.
