About Course
Body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) causes people to spend a lot of time worrying about flaws in their appearance that others often cannot see. Learn the signs, how BDD affects daily life and work, how it is treated, and how to respond supportively.
This course provides general mental health and wellbeing information based on NHS and other official UK guidance, checked in October 2026. It is not a substitute for medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. If you are worried about your health, speak to a GP or call NHS 111. In an emergency, or if someone’s life is at risk, call 999.
