About Course

From April 2026, the Crisis and Resilience Fund replaced the Household Support Fund in England and brought Discretionary Housing Payments into the same funding. This course explains what crisis payments and housing payments can help with, how to apply to your council, and the equivalent schemes in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Tutwoo is an independent learning provider. This course gives general information about local crisis support and is not financial advice. Each council runs its own scheme, so always check your council’s rules.
