About Course

Perhaps a grandchild wants to borrow your car, a friend offers to drive you to hospital, or you drive a relative’s car on holiday. Insurance rules matter here, and getting them wrong can leave someone driving uninsured. This course explains named drivers, the risks of “fronting”, and why “driving other cars” cover is often much more limited than people think.

This course gives general information about motor insurance in the UK. It is not legal or financial advice. Policies vary – always check your own policy documents and speak to your insurer.
