Tiredness and Driving: Rest Breaks, Warning Signs and Sleep Conditions

About Course

Tiredness slows your reactions just when you need them most. This course explains what the Highway Code says about tiredness and rest breaks, the early warning signs that you are getting too sleepy to drive, what really helps (and what does not), and when a sleep condition must be reported to the DVLA.

This course gives general road safety information for drivers in Great Britain. It is not medical advice. Northern Ireland has its own Highway Code and licensing authority (DVA); the advice on tiredness is the same.
