About Course

Sitting still for hours on a long journey can raise the risk of a blood clot in the leg, called deep vein thrombosis (DVT). The NHS lists being over 60 and long journeys of more than four hours as risk factors. This course explains the warning signs, simple steps to lower your risk while travelling, and when to get help.

This course gives general health information for travellers. It is not medical advice. If you have health concerns about travelling, speak to your GP or pharmacist.
