About Course

Since 1 December 2022, renting in Wales has worked differently from the rest of the UK. Tenants are now “contract-holders” with “occupation contracts”. This course explains the written statement, fitness for human habitation, notice periods (including the six-month no-fault notice), rent increases, deposits and the changes coming into force in 2026.

Tutwoo is an independent learning provider. This course gives general information based on published official guidance as at October 2026. It is not legal or financial advice. Rules can differ between England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland; for help with your own situation, contact Citizens Advice, Shelter or another advice service.
