About Course

Bridges, riverbanks, docks, sea defences, reservoirs and flooded excavations all bring a risk of drowning. This course explains the legal duty under CDM 2015, how to stop people falling in, and what rescue equipment and emergency arrangements are needed if someone does.

This course gives general awareness of drowning risks in construction work. It is not a substitute for a site-specific risk assessment, rescue plan or practical rescue training. Always follow current CDM regulations, HSE or HSENI guidance and your site’s emergency procedures.
