Whooping Cough Awareness

About Course

Whooping cough (pertussis) is a highly infectious bacterial chest infection that is especially dangerous for young babies. This course explains how it spreads, how to recognise it, when to get urgent help, how long people should stay away from school or work, and how vaccination in pregnancy and childhood protects babies.

Tutwoo is an independent learning provider. This course is general awareness training based on published NHS and UK Health Security Agency information. It is not medical advice and does not replace your organisation’s infection control policies or the training required for your role, and it is not an accredited qualification. In an emergency, call 999.
