About Course

A venous leg ulcer is a long-lasting sore on the leg, usually between the knee and ankle, caused by high pressure in the leg veins. This course explains the symptoms, who is at risk, how leg ulcers are treated with cleaning, dressings and compression, and how to reduce the risk of them coming back, based on NHS information.

Tutwoo is an independent learning provider. This is general health awareness training based on published NHS information. It does not diagnose or treat any condition and is not a substitute for advice from a doctor, nurse, pharmacist or NHS 111. In an emergency, call 999.
