HSE’s Manual Handling Assessment Charts (MAC tool) help employers and safety representatives spot high-risk lifting, carrying and team handling tasks. This course explains when to use the MAC, how each risk factor is scored and colour-coded, how to use the total score, and when you need a full risk assessment or a different tool instead.
