About Course

People can ask organisations to delete their personal data, but the right to erasure under UK GDPR only applies in certain circumstances. This course explains when you must erase, when you can refuse, the one-month deadline, and practical issues such as backups, data shared with others and children’s data.

Tutwoo is an independent learning provider. This course is general guidance based on ICO guidance (which is under review following the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025) and is not legal advice.

What Will You Learn?

  • Recognise an erasure request, however it is made
  • Decide whether the right applies or an exemption allows refusal
