STOMP & STAMP: Preventing Over-Medication

About Course

People with a learning disability and autistic people are far more likely than others to be prescribed psychotropic medicines such as antipsychotics, often to manage behaviour rather than to treat a diagnosed condition. This course explains the NHS England STOMP and STAMP programmes and what support staff and families can do to make sure medicines are used for the right reasons, at the right dose, for the right length of time.

Tutwoo is an independent learning provider. This course is general awareness training based on published regulator and NHS guidance. It does not replace your employer’s medicines policy, the training and competency checks required for your role, or advice from a prescriber or pharmacist, and it is not an accredited qualification.
