About Course

Statutory Sick Pay (SSP) changed significantly on 6 April 2026 under the Employment Rights Act 2025: it is now payable from the first day of sickness and the earnings threshold has gone. This course explains who qualifies, how much to pay (£123.25 a week or 80% of average weekly earnings if lower), evidence, linked periods, record keeping and how SSP fits with company sick pay. It applies in Great Britain.

Tutwoo is an independent learning provider. This course gives general information about Statutory Sick Pay in Great Britain, checked against GOV.UK in October 2026. It is not legal or payroll advice.
