Skip Loaders & Hookloaders: Lifting Safety

Wishlist Share

About Course

Skip loaders and hookloaders lift heavy containers in yards, on building sites and on public roads. This course explains how LOLER and PUWER apply, the safety-critical parts that need examining, why ‘jogging’ a load is so dangerous, and how to prevent runaways, blind-spot accidents and unsafe skip stacking.

This course gives general awareness of skip loader and hookloader safety. It does not replace operator training, the manufacturer’s instructions, thorough examination by a competent person or your employer’s safe system of work.
