Wishlist Share

About Course

Printing presses are full of in-running nips between rollers and cylinders that can draw in fingers and hands. Based on HSE’s safeguarding guidance, this course explains the main hazards on sheet-fed, web-fed, gravure and flexographic presses, how interlocked guards, nip bars and inch or crawl controls protect operators, and safe practices for cleaning and make-ready.

This course gives general awareness of printing press safeguarding based on HSE guidance. It does not replace manufacturers’ instructions, machine-specific training or a competent assessment of your presses’ guarding.
