About Course

Every job using a mobile elevating work platform (MEWP) needs a plan for getting people down safely if something goes wrong. This course explains the legal duty to plan for emergencies and rescue, the situations a MEWP rescue plan must cover, who needs to be trained in the ground controls, and how to practise and review the plan.

This course gives general, awareness-level information about UK health and safety law and official guidance. It is not a substitute for employer-specific training, a suitable and sufficient risk assessment for your own workplace, or advice from a competent person, and it is not an accredited qualification. Always check the latest official guidance and follow your organisation’s own procedures.
