Loading Bays & Dock Levellers: Preventing Drive-Aways and Falls

About Course

Loading bays bring together lorries, forklifts, people and raised platform edges. This course explains HSE guidance on bay design, dock levellers and dock shelters, stopping vehicles leaving before loading is finished, protecting people from falls and vehicles, and organising loading so that drivers, hauliers and site staff work together safely.

This course gives general awareness of loading bay safety based on HSE guidance. It does not replace your site’s risk assessment, safe systems of work or equipment-specific training.
