Keeping Children Safe on Farms

About Course

Farms are workplaces and, for many families, homes too – and children are killed in farm incidents every year. This course explains the law on children and agricultural vehicles and machinery, the main hazards to children on farms, and practical steps farmers, families and visitors can take to keep children safe.

This course gives general, awareness-level information about UK health and safety law and official guidance. It is not a substitute for employer-specific training, a suitable and sufficient risk assessment for your own workplace, or advice from a competent person, and it is not an accredited qualification. Always check the latest official guidance and follow your organisation’s own procedures.
