Health & Safety Offences: How Courts Set Fines for Organisations

About Course

Since 2016, courts in England and Wales have used a Sentencing Council guideline that links health and safety fines to culpability, the risk of harm and the organisation’s turnover. This course explains how the guideline works step by step, what aggravates or mitigates a fine, and what managers can learn from it about running a safe organisation.
