About Course

Food and drink factories combine wet floors, conveyors, workplace transport, heavy lifting, flour and other sensitising dusts, cleaning chemicals and noise. Based on HSE guidance for the industry, this course covers the main safety hazards and occupational health risks and the practical controls that prevent them.

This course gives general, awareness-level information about UK health and safety law and official guidance. It is not a substitute for employer-specific training, a suitable and sufficient risk assessment for your own workplace, or advice from a competent person, and it is not an accredited qualification. Always check the latest official guidance and follow your organisation’s own procedures.
