About Course

Since the Grenfell Tower fire, fire safety law for residential buildings in England has changed significantly. This course explains the Fire Safety Act 2021, the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 and the Residential Evacuation Plans Regulations 2025 – which duties apply at each building height, what checks are needed and how often, and how to record and share information.

This course provides general awareness of fire safety law for residential buildings in England. It is not legal advice and does not replace a suitable and sufficient fire risk assessment by a competent person.
