Electricity can kill or seriously injure people and cause fires. This course explains the main electrical hazards at work, what the Electricity at Work Regulations 1989 require, simple checks you can make before using equipment, how to work safely near overhead lines and underground cables, and what to do if someone receives an electric shock.

It is suitable for all staff who use electrical equipment, and for supervisors, facilities and maintenance teams. It does not qualify anyone to carry out electrical work, which must only be done by competent people.

The course ends with a timed assessment. You need 80% to pass and can review every answer when you finish.
