About Course
Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is a common long-term lung condition. This course explains what COPD is, its causes and symptoms, flare-ups, how it is treated – including inhalers, pulmonary rehabilitation and oxygen – and how carers can support people safely, including when to get urgent help.
This course provides general awareness only. It does not replace clinical advice or the person’s care plan. If someone has severe difficulty breathing, call 999.
