Calculating Hand-Arm Vibration Exposure

About Course

Learn how to work out daily hand-arm vibration exposure using HSE’s exposure points system and A(8) values. With worked examples, you will see how vibration magnitude and trigger time combine, how to add exposure from several tools, and what the Control of Vibration at Work Regulations 2005 require at each level.

This course gives general, awareness-level information about UK health and safety law and official guidance. It is not a substitute for employer-specific training, a suitable and sufficient risk assessment for your own workplace, or advice from a competent person, and it is not an accredited qualification. Always check the latest official guidance and follow your organisation’s own procedures.
