About Course
Most parents and visitors are supportive, but occasionally someone becomes aggressive, abusive or refuses to leave. Based on the Department for Education’s guidance Controlling access to school premises, this course explains parents’ implied licence, trespass, the nuisance or disturbance offence, the fair process for barring someone, and when to involve the police.
This course provides general awareness of DfE guidance for schools in England. It is not legal advice – seek advice from your local authority, trust or legal adviser in individual cases.
