About Course

Advance care planning helps people say what matters to them about their future care, so their wishes can be respected if they later become unable to decide or communicate. Learn the difference between advance statements, advance decisions to refuse treatment, lasting powers of attorney, DNACPR decisions and ReSPECT plans, and how care workers can support these conversations.

This course provides general awareness only. It does not replace clinical assessment, training from a qualified professional, or your organisation’s policies and procedures, and it is not an accredited qualification. If someone is seriously unwell, call 999. This course is not legal advice.
