About Course

Many road risks are set before a driver turns the key – by whether the journey is needed, the route chosen and the schedule set. Based on HSE’s guidance on driving and riding safely for work, this course shows managers and drivers how to plan routes, set realistic schedules, manage fatigue and weather, and use incident reporting and telematics to keep improving.

This course gives general guidance on planning work journeys based on HSE guidance. Drivers in scope of drivers’ hours and tachograph rules must also follow those legal requirements. Always follow the Highway Code and your employer’s driving policy.
