Wishlist Share

About Course

HSE says serious accidents involving emery cloth on metalworking lathes happen every year, causing broken bones, amputations and occasionally death. This course explains how entanglement happens, the only acceptable ways to use emery cloth, guarding and clothing controls, and what a recent fatal case teaches employers.

This course gives general awareness of lathe safety based on HSE guidance. It is not a substitute for machine-specific training, supervision and the manufacturer’s instructions.
