About Course

Older people may be more likely to suffer from food poisoning, so care homes need extra food safety controls beyond those in an ordinary kitchen. This course explains the Food Standards Agency’s Safer Food, Better Business supplement for residential care homes: protecting food, mini-kitchens, and gift food brought in by visitors.

Tutwoo is an independent learning provider. This course is general food safety awareness based on published Food Standards Agency and other official guidance. It does not replace your business’s food safety management system, your local authority’s advice or accredited training.
