Wishlist Share

About Course

Every driver must meet legal eyesight standards, and drivers of lorries and buses must meet higher ones. This course explains the current DVLA standards for car and van drivers and for lorry and bus drivers, when to tell DVLA (or DVA in Northern Ireland), and what employers should do to make sure people who drive for work can see well enough to drive safely.

This course summarises the eyesight rules for driving in the UK. It is not medical advice. Drivers should have regular eye tests with an optician and check current GOV.UK or nidirect guidance and their own medical condition with DVLA or DVA.
