About Course
Since 6 April 2025, the Digital Markets, Competition and Consumers Act 2024 has given the Competition and Markets Authority power to fine businesses directly for breaking consumer law. This course explains the banned practices, including fake reviews and false urgency, rules on misleading actions and omissions, price transparency, and how to stay compliant.
This course gives general information about UK consumer protection law and is not legal advice. Read the CMA’s guidance and take advice on specific practices.
