About Course

Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis are the two main types of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) – lifelong conditions that cause flare-ups of diarrhoea, pain and exhaustion. This course explains how they differ, common symptoms and triggers, treatment including surgery and stomas, urgent warning signs, and how to support someone with IBD at work, in education or in care.

Tutwoo is an independent learning provider. This course is general awareness training based on published NHS and charity information. It is not medical advice, does not replace training required for your job, and is not an accredited qualification.
