Electric Shock First Aid Awareness

About Course

An electric shock can stop the heart, cause deep burns and throw a person off balance. The first rule is not to become a second casualty. This course explains how to make the scene safe, break contact with a low-voltage source, keep clear of high-voltage hazards, give first aid for burns and cardiac arrest, and get the right help.

Tutwoo is an independent learning provider. This is first aid awareness training based on published NHS, Resuscitation Council UK and St John Ambulance guidance. It is not a practical first aid qualification and does not meet the training requirements for workplace first aiders. In an emergency, call 999.
