Meningitis Awareness

About Course

Meningitis can become life-threatening within hours, so recognising it early and acting fast saves lives. This course covers what meningitis is, who is most at risk, the symptoms in adults, children and babies, the glass test, when to call 999, treatment, vaccination, and what settings such as schools and care services should do.

Tutwoo is an independent learning provider. This course is general awareness training based on published NHS and UK Health Security Agency information. It is not medical advice and does not replace your organisation’s infection control policies or the training required for your role, and it is not an accredited qualification. In an emergency, call 999.
