About Course

Many children live with family friends or distant relatives for weeks or months without anyone realising this is “private fostering” – an arrangement the local council must be told about. This course explains what private fostering is, who must notify the council, what the council does, and why professionals who work with children should spot and report these arrangements.

Tutwoo is an independent learning provider. This course is general awareness training based on UK legislation and public-sector guidance for England. It does not replace your organisation’s safeguarding procedures or local authority advice, and it is not an accredited qualification.
