About Course

Assistance dog owners are still too often turned away from taxis, shops, restaurants and venues. This course explains what the Equality Act 2010 requires of taxi and private hire drivers and operators, how the wider duties on service providers apply to people with assistance dogs, and how door staff, receptionists and front-line staff can welcome assistance dog users confidently and lawfully.

This course gives general information about the law on assistance dogs. It is not legal advice; check your organisation’s policy and seek advice on specific situations.
