About Course
Private renting in England changed on 1 May 2026, when the main tenancy reforms of the Renters’ Rights Act 2025 came into force. This course explains what changed for private tenants: rolling (periodic) tenancies, the end of section 21 “no fault” evictions, new rules on rent increases, rent in advance and bidding, pets and discrimination, and where to get help.
Tutwoo is an independent learning provider. This course is general information about private renting in England from published GOV.UK guidance, not legal advice. For your own situation, contact Shelter, Citizens Advice, your council or a solicitor.
