Wishlist Share

About Course

Cooling towers and evaporative condensers can spread legionella over a wide area in drift and aerosol, and have been linked to community outbreaks of Legionnaires’ disease. Based on HSE’s ACOP L8 and technical guidance HSG274 Part 1, this course covers notification, the responsible person, water treatment and monitoring frequencies, inspection and cleaning, drift eliminators and records.

This course gives general, awareness-level information about UK health and safety law and official guidance. It is not a substitute for employer-specific training, a suitable and sufficient risk assessment for your own workplace, or advice from a competent person, and it is not an accredited qualification. Always check the latest official guidance and follow your organisation’s own procedures.
