About Course
Falls from lorries, trailers, tankers and vans are among the most common accidents involving workplace transport. This course explains the legal duty to prevent falls, how to avoid the need to climb onto vehicles, safe access when it cannot be avoided, sheeting and loading, and the simple behaviours that prevent serious injuries.
This course gives general, awareness-level information about UK health and safety law and official guidance. It is not a substitute for employer-specific training, a suitable and sufficient risk assessment for your own workplace, or advice from a competent person, and it is not an accredited qualification. Always check the latest official guidance and follow your organisation’s own procedures.
