About Course
Pneumonia is inflammation of the lungs, usually caused by an infection, and it can be serious for older people, babies and people with long-term conditions. Learn the symptoms – including confusion in older people – who is most at risk, when to call 999, how aspiration pneumonia happens, and how vaccination, oral care and good positioning help prevent it.
This course provides general awareness only. It does not replace clinical assessment, training from a qualified professional, or your organisation’s policies and procedures, and it is not an accredited qualification. If someone is seriously unwell, call 999.
