Pushing & Pulling: Assessing Risks with the RAPP Tool

Wishlist Share

About Course

Pushing and pulling trolleys, cages, pallet trucks and other loads causes many musculoskeletal injuries. This course explains HSE’s Risk Assessment of Pushing and Pulling (RAPP) tool – how to assess wheeled and non-wheeled operations, what the colour bands mean, and how to reduce the risks through equipment, floors, routes and work organisation.

This course gives general, awareness-level information about UK health and safety law and official guidance. It is not a substitute for employer-specific training, a suitable and sufficient risk assessment for your own workplace, or advice from a competent person, and it is not an accredited qualification. Always check the latest official guidance and follow your organisation’s own procedures.
