About Course

Fairground rides must be designed, inspected, maintained, built up and operated safely – and fairs must be organised so the public can move around safely. This course explains HSE’s guidance for ride controllers, operators and fair organisers, including annual inspection by competent inspectors under ADIPS or PIPA, daily checks, attendant training and emergency planning.

This course gives general, awareness-level information about UK health and safety law and official guidance. It is not a substitute for employer-specific training, a suitable and sufficient risk assessment for your own workplace, or advice from a competent person, and it is not an accredited qualification. Always check the latest official guidance and follow your organisation’s own procedures.
