About Course
Flu, COVID-19, RSV and other respiratory viruses can spread quickly among older and vulnerable people. Based on UKHSA guidance for adult care homes in England, learn to recognise acute respiratory infections, what to do when a resident or staff member is unwell, how to spot and report an outbreak, and the role of vaccination, antivirals, ventilation and hygiene.
This course provides general infection prevention awareness only. It does not replace your organisation’s infection prevention and control policies, training from your IPC lead, or advice from your local health protection team, and it is not an accredited qualification.
