Hypothermia & Cold Weather Health Awareness

About Course

Cold weather increases the risk of hypothermia, heart attacks, strokes, chest infections and falls – especially for older people and those with long-term conditions. Learn to recognise hypothermia, what to do while waiting for help, what not to do, and how to keep people warm and well through the winter.

This course provides first aid awareness only. It does not replace practical, hands-on first aid training from a qualified provider, does not make you a qualified first aider and does not meet workplace first aid training requirements on its own. Always call 999 (or 112) in an emergency and follow your organisation’s procedures.
