Martyn’s Law: Preparing Premises & Events

About Course

The Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, known as Martyn’s Law, will require those responsible for many public venues and events to be prepared for a terrorist attack. This course explains who is in scope, the standard and enhanced tiers, the role of the Security Industry Authority, and practical steps to prepare before the duties come into force.

This course gives general information about UK law and official guidance as at October 2026. It is not legal advice. Laws and guidance change, so check the official sources listed, follow your organisation’s own policies, or take professional advice before acting in a specific case.
