About Course
Public authorities must think about equality when they make decisions, design policies and deliver services. This course explains the Public Sector Equality Duty in section 149 of the Equality Act 2010, what “due regard” means in practice, and the different specific duties in England, Scotland and Wales.
This course gives general information about employment and equality law in Great Britain as at October 2026. It is not legal advice. Northern Ireland has separate legislation. Laws and guidance change, so check the official sources listed, contact Acas, or take professional advice before acting in a specific case.
